I will lead the Junior Auxilary and ladies Auxilary in our plan to collect stuffed animals for children who are placed in the court system, to help them get through the traumatic times they are going through, We will also be running a food and clothing drive for needy families of veterans and beautifing the residents of those who are not able to do so, (ie. cleaning up yards that are in danger of code violations.) I am also working on a project to start a special needs afterschool and summer program that our community is desperate need of.

We are accepting donations of stuffed animals for those children placed in the states care, so that they may have some sense of security as they attend court, also we are conducting a food and clothing drive to help those veterans and families of verterans in our county, we will also be cleaning yards for elderly veterans and thier families, and the nearest to my heart is developing a place where special needs children might attend afterschool and during the summer to provide them with much needed social skills and also respite for thier parents.

- I will spread the word to help recruit more great stable foster homes to care for abused and neglected children with the non profit Foster Care Support Foundation's new program North Georgia Coalition, a partnership with the county DFCS office of Fulton county. With this partnership, I offered to help churches and the community in getting them information about different ways to help foster children. It will help improve foster care in our State of Georgia and will help caseworkers with support for their huge responsibilities. FCSF is a volunteer driven( 50 to 200 Vol each week) non profit that gives free basic care items to the children.
- I will compost! Did you know you can compost anything that was once alive? That includes food scraps, paper and cardboard, and plant materials. I keep a small trash can under my sink that I line with biodegradable bags. When the bag gets full, I put it in the green bins provided by the city. Find out if your city has a composting program and help reduce the amount of waste that goes to our landfill, turn your trash into a renewable resource!
- I will volunteer in my local elementary school garden for the whole school year. I will teach kids to be healthy, how to grow food for those in need, about the environment and also use the garden to teach math, English, geography, literature and science.
